The toll-free number is a 10-digit number toll free number that is assigned to your account in which you can send text messages from. This number can be used to create a more personal experience and allow your recipients to respond directly to you with on-going threaded conversations.
Please note: Toll-free numbers are currently in beta testing and may not be available for all accounts at this time. Textable numbers purchased after activation of the account will not have the same functionality to send mass texts. Learn more.

Using Your Toll-Free Number for 1-on-1 Chat
When can I use my Toll-Free Number?
The toll-free number can be used to send mass messages of up to 1000 recipients or more. If the group you are sending to exceeds 1000 contacts, then you will be given the option of switching back to using the short code number which can allow you to send mass messages faster. While the 10-digit toll number can be used to send to 1001+ contacts, it will take a little longer to send your message to a large group of contacts. When you have formulated your message, you will be given the option to "switch to short code" if you need when you attempt to send your message.
Using Your Toll-Free Number to Send Mass Texts
Under New Message, select Send Group Message. A preview of your message along with the number you will be sending your texts from will appear to the right.
"To": Enter the phone number(s) or group name of the contacts you would like to send this message to in bulk. Adding contacts prior to sending your message will make sending messages much easier. Learn how to upload them here. Once contacts have been added to this field, they will be highlighted in a blue bubble.
Message: What would you like to say to your contacts or what would you like them to do? Create your message here and if you'd like, include your name or company name at the beginning of your message in the "Company Name" field.
Send Message: Before sending your message, scroll down to review the advanced features and character count options. When you are ready to send your message, choose "Now" and select Review Message or choose to "Schedule for later" to select a calendar date and time.
Character Count
Depending on your plan, you may want to consider how long your message is as it may cost more to send MMS messages instead of SMS messages on your account. On the bottom right of the message body, you can click and choose to send your message as an MMS or SMS message.
- MMS: Up to 1600 characters and or includes an image or video
- SMS: Up to 160 characters (152 with Stop to End message included)

Advanced Features
At the bottom of the message field, you will see the following options respectively: Personalization, Message Templates, Media, and the Link Shortener tool.
Personalization: Input names or information into your message automatically based off of the column fields in your contact list. It is recommended that you test this feature with a small list if it is your first time using it to avoid any errors or to double check the columns matched to the personalized link. Message Templates: Create or add a template that you would like to use in the future. Learn more here.
Media: If you have MMS (multimedia messaging) enabled on your account, you will be able to add a photo or video by clicking this button. Find more information on sending MMS messages.
Link Shortener : Paste a link into the body of your message if you wish to share a link to a page. Or click the chained link icon to paste your link there. With the shortener, you can save space on characters in your message and also track who has clicked your link. Learn more here.
Using Your Toll-Free for 1-on-1 Chat
Your Toll-Free Number can be used to interact with a contact in on-going conversations personal conversations. Under New Message select "Start 1-on-1 Chat". All of your 1-on-1 chat conversations will live in your Inbox.
The "From" field will display the number you are sending from and the "To" field is where you can enter the phone number or name of the contact you would like to send a message to. Each individual conversation will appear to the left.
Use the Filter to toggle which messages you would like to see.
Character Count and Advanced Features
With the 1-on-1 chat feature, you can also personalize your message and automatically input fields based on your contact list, add a template or add media.and enter a photo or video.
Same with mass messages, the types of messages you send may vary depending on your plan.

Click on the "MMS" or "SMS" button on the bottom right to toggle between these two options.
When you're ready to send your message, click Send on the bottom right.
