If you have received a message from someone you are not familiar with, there could be a few reasons as to why this may have happened and we are happy to explain.
We as a company do not personally send out text messages nor do we sell contact information. Due to FCC regulations, all users on our platform must have consent to send messages to their contacts.
Reasons why you may have received a text:
- The user contacting you may have the wrong number
- They acquired your number through a website or lead generation form
- You may have opted in using a keyword
How to Opt Out
Opting out from receiving texts is simple. Reply to the text with the word 'STOP' and this will automatically opt you out from receiving texts from that short code phone number that has messaged you.
If you are still receiving texts after opting out, please make sure that you have responded with the word, 'STOP' correctly.
After you have replied, 'STOP', then you will receive a confirmation message letting you know that you have been removed from the text list. If the text is from an EZ Texting account, then you have the option to then reply REPORT to report the individual if they are sending unsolicited messages.
