They say a picture’s worth 1,000 words, and we agree. Using the right image can truly make your message pop! This article will walk you through uploading MMS media to your EZ Texting account, sending an MMS message, and best practices.
How to Add an Image to an MMS Message
Start by clicking New Message in the left navigation menu. The Send a Group Text Message page appears.
Click the Add Media icon (see image).
Now you will be prompted to add your image/media file. Click Choose File, find the file you would like to add, and select it.
What Works Best for MMS Images?
You can upload a JPG, GIF, PNG, WAV, MP3, 3GP, or MP4 files. If you would like to upload an MP4 (video) file it is important to make sure that the size of it is no larger than 500 Kb/5MB. Larger files attached to messages will not be sent.
Photos are best on phones with a ratio of 9:16. We suggest using images that are 640px by 1138px, or 1080px by 1920px. Here is a free online image compression tool you can use: Compress JPEG
To save you trouble, we highly recommend that you upload your videos through Youtube and send them as a link in your text messages. Most devices will display a preview of the video and almost all devices won't have any problem playing a Youtube link. Let Youtube do the work for you!
A PDF file cannot be attached directly to the text but you can convert into an image (JPEG) and attach it to your text. Here is a free online converter you can use to change your PDF into an image: SmallPDF.

Tip: Once you've uploaded an image it will be saved in your Library. Next time you want to send a text with that picture, just select the PICK FROM LIBRARY tab. No need to upload it again!
Compose your MMS text. The image will appear in the preview phone on the right.
Note: The character limit for an SMS message is 160 characters while the character limit for an MMS message is 1,600. If you compose a message of more than 160 characters the system will ask if you’d like to send the message as either an MMS or as multiple SMS messages.
Below the message body new users sending a message to more than one recipient will see an Auto-Append Checkbox that provides the option of adding the unsubscribe message, “STOP to end," following a message. If you are sending a message to more than 100 recipients, the option will automatically be enabled.
You can either send the message now or select a date and time to automatically send the text in the future.
