EZ Texting Mobile: Sending a Direct Message

Step 1: Open the application on your mobile device and log in with your EZ Texting account information.

Step 2: Tap the “+” icon from your Inbox to create a new Direct Message. 

Step 3: If you have a 10-digit text-enabled phone number the app will allow you to toggle between your number or a 6-digit common-use short code. If you do not have a textable phone number please skip to the next step.

Step 4: Type in the To section to select a phone number or contact to receive your message.

Step 5: If you’ve already sent Direct Messages to that contact, your conversation will appear in your Inbox. Open the most recent message to respond.

Step 6: If you haven’t chatted with this contact before you will skip the previous step and just start composing your message.

• If your message includes a URL you will have the option to shorten it using our automatic link shortener.
• You can also use a saved or default message template as well as send a media file.

Please note: Media files can be uploaded directly from your phone’s images.

Step 7: Review your message and schedule to send, or tap Send Message to send it immediately.  

Step 8: After you hit Send, the message will display in your Sent Messages. From here, you can send another message to this contact and see their responses.
