Receive and Reply to Texts on EZ Chat
After you receive your confirmation email that your new textable number is ready, you can get started with EZ Chat. Navigate to EZ Chat in the left menu of EZ Texting or click the Send Now button in the Start a Conversation box to begin.
Using EZ Chat for the First Time
When you open the EZ Chat page you will have a welcome message waiting for you! This is where new incoming messages will appear when people text your number.
Send Your First Message
To send your first message, click the New Message button in the left column of the EZ Chat screen. Then enter the contact name or phone number you wish to text.
If you have contacts saved in your EZ Texting account, you can start typing their name or the first few digits of their number and select from the results.
Start typing your message in the text field on the lower right side of the page. You can use a message template from your library, add a picture (gets sent as a link) or insert contact fields into your message by clicking on the icons.
Incoming Messages and Conversations
All your EZ Chat conversations are listed on the left side of the EZ Chat screen. Clicking on one will open the conversation on the right side.
Replies are received in real time and displayed within each conversation. A blue dot on a conversation indicates a new message.
Update your business listing wherever it is displayed to let your customers know that they can now send texts to your business number!
