My sent messages do not appear correctly
EZ Texting only supports sending plain text, as certain characters are rendered differently on different mobile telephones. Any character copied from an outside source can appear incorrectly. If you are copying and pasting from an outside source (such as a Word file), retype it manually, because there can be hidden characters. You can test this by sending the message to your own phone.
Also, handsets render characters differently, so you can try changing your phone settings.
We allow the following characters: a-z, A-Z, 0-9 and these special characters: .,:;!?()~=+-_\/@$#&%
My messages are not being delivered
There are four issues that can cause problems:
- First, make sure the wireless carrier you are sending to supports delivery. For a list of supporting carriers, click here.
- EZ Texting relies on third party systems to deliver messages. Things like network delays, cell sites, and carrier delays can all contribute to problems with deliveries. Because we use these systems, we cannot make any guarantees on delivery.
- The mobile telephone carrier might have blocked short codes for that user. For information about short codes, click here. The user can call his or her wireless carrier and ask them to allow short codes on his or her account.
- Pre-paid phone plans typically do not allow sending to or receiving messages from short codes. Consult the wireless carrier for more information.
It is important to make sure the dimensions of the media you are sending fits the requirements in order for it to send properly across various phone carriers from the EZ Texting platform.
If you are having trouble sending a video, we recommend that it is 500KB or less and under 30 seconds. To send a longer video, upload it to youtube and share the link to that video in your text. Sending Youtube links to your video content is the easiest way to submit it to various contacts.
Important: EZ Texting does not guarantee delivery or timely delivery. EZ texting is an online application that enables users to stores contacts, organize contacts in groups, send and receive SMS, and use keywords on our common-use short code. However, we do not deliver your messages to the handsets. We only deliver your messages to the wireless carriers. The purpose of sending messages through our gateway is to make sure they are submitted to various carriers' gateways and security measures. As we do not operate the phone carriers' gateways, we cannot guarantee the delivery rate.
